Sustainability guides our every choice: we source locally whenever possible, reduce waste, reuse and recycle thoughtfully, and design without toxic floral foam whenever we can. Our Story: Flora is co-owned by Sarah Leitten and Kate Prince, who first crossed paths while working at the shop—and in March 2018, they took the leap and bought the business together. Sarah, a Buffalo, NY native, holds a BFA in sculpture from the Cleveland Institute of Art and has been working with flowers for over 15 years. Her background in fine art brings a sculptural, intentional touch to her floral designs. When she’s not creating with flowers, she’s drawing comics, gardening, or working on personal art projects. Kate hails from Sydney, Australia, and brings more than 15 years of experience in horticulture and landscaping. Her deep knowledge of plants and global perspective—shaped by years of travel and living around the world—add depth and creativity to Flora’s work. Together, Sarah and Kate combine artistry, plant expertise, and a shared passion for nature to lead Flora with heart and vision.
