Flora Chicago

Flora Chicago

Who we are: At Flora, we use flowers to create beauty, evoke emotions, and bring visions to life. We set the mood, define the space, and craft the vibe—always with artistry at heart. We’re deeply connected to the earth and committed to protecting it. Sustainability guides our every choice: we source locally whenever possible, reduce waste, reuse and recycle thoughtfully, and design without toxic floral foam whenever we can. Our style: Our style is loose, organic, and garden-inspired—natural with a touch of wild. We’re inspired by nature, fueled by color, and driven by a deep love for art and beauty. While we have a signature Flora style, we're skilled florists who can bring your unique vision to life. Don’t have a clear idea yet? No problem—we’ll help you find it. Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving are at the core of what we do. With a strong team, trusted resources, a sharp eye, and a can-do attitude, we bring every project to life with care and confidence. Our work speaks for itself—because challenges are how we grow. How we work: We believe great flowers start with great relationships. Think of us as your creative collaborators—honest, reliable, detail-obsessed, and always up for dreaming big with you. We bring artistry and intention to every stem and every step. We’re not here to just make things pretty (though we definitely do that). We’re here to wow you. To make you feel seen. To turn your vision into something even better than you imagined. We love what we do, and it shows—in the process, in the partnership, and in the final creation. Our Story: Flora is co-owned by Sarah Leitten and Kate Prince, who first crossed paths while working at the shop—and in March 2018, they took the leap and bought the business together. Sarah, a Buffalo, NY native, holds a BFA in sculpture from the Cleveland Institute of Art and has been working with flowers for over 15 years. Her background in fine art brings a sculptural, intentional touch to her floral designs. When she’s not creating with flowers, she’s drawing comics, gardening, or working on personal art projects. Kate hails from Sydney, Australia, and brings more than 15 years of experience in horticulture and landscaping. Her deep knowledge of plants and global perspective—shaped by years of travel and living around the world—add depth and creativity to Flora’s work. Together, Sarah and Kate combine artistry, plant expertise, and a shared passion for nature to lead Flora with heart and vision.
